Alien Hipporit (ヒッポリト星人, Hipporito Seijin) is an alien that first appeared in Ultraman Ace. Later incarnations introduced Super Alien Hipporit (スーパーヒッポリト星人, Sūpā Hipporito Seijin), an "updated" variation of Alien Hipporit that first appeared in the film, Great Decisive Battle! The Super 8 Ultra Brothers.

History[]
Ultraman Ace[]
Alien Hipporit first appeared in the middle of a city, demanding that the humans hand over Ultraman Ace as ransom, least they face a literal (sic) "Hell on Earth". To make his point clear, the alien immediately attacked by exhaling a strong blast of wind from its nozzle-shaped mouth. TAC was quick to the scene to stop the invader, but all of their weapons seemed to phase through Alien Hipporit with no effect whatsoever. Hokuto and Minami opted to transform into Ultraman Ace to stop him instead, but were stopped by a mysterious voice telling them that they couldn't win. During which, the pair flew their jet straight through the alien, revealing it to be a hologram of some sort. With TAC powerless to stop him, Alien Hipporit again demanded that Ultraman Ace be turned over to him. He then materialized a toy of Ace in his hand before decapitating it, demonstrating exactly what he had planned for the ultra before disappearing into a veil of blue smoke.
Sometime later, Alien Hipporit's hologram returned to cause more destruction, this time by breathing fire. Once again TAC tried to stop the alien, but all of their weapons (including a newly-crafted Cell Destruction Missile) phased through their target with no effect whatsoever. Provoked and determined, Hokuto and Minami transformed into Ultraman Ace to face the alien himself. However rather than fight the one in the city, Ace flew off to a nearby valley and discovered another Alien Hipporit, one that was housed inside of a glass capsule (earlier on, Hokuto and Minami came across a dying man who claimed to had come into contact with Alien Hipporit in said valley while delivering a toy of Ace to his son. The same toy that Alien Hipporit decapitated earlier.) Ace attacked the encapsulated alien, causing the one in the city to vanish, revealing it to be a mere shadow clone that Alien Hipporit was manipulating to fight on his behalf. Ace and the alien fought fiercely, but during their fight, Alien Hipporit trapped the ultra inside one of his capsules, which coated the ultra in a green tar-like liquid. As Ace was being drenched though, the ultra managed to send out an Ultra Sign to the other members of the Space Garrison before the liquid condensed into gas.
Receiving Ace's Ultra Sign, Zoffy, Ultraman, Ultraseven, and Ultraman Jack hurried to the scene. When the brothers arrived though, they found out that they were too late. Ace had been turned into a statue of jade by Alien Hipporit. As they mourned him though, Alien Hipporit ambushed them as well, trapping Zoffy and Ultraman inside capsules as well. Seven fought with the alien himself while Jack hurried to rescue his brothers. Unfortunately, Jack was quickly trapped in a capsule as well, and Seven was no match for Alien Hipporit's strength, who beat him down until he was trapped too. Like with Ace, the ultra brothers were covered in Hipporit's tar until they were transformed into jade statues as well. The Alien Hipporit was victorious, and the Space Garrison was defeated. With TAC as its only opposition now, Alien Hipporit demanded that the team surrender the earth to him now that Ace was gone. Refusing to give in, Captain Goro Ryu had another Cell Destruction Missile created, theorizing that the alien is hiding in the valley that Ace and the bros were trapped into (which was earlier mentioned by Hokuto). While TAC acted as a diversion for the alien's shadow clone to battle with, the plan was put into effect and Goro Ryu managed to take Alien Hipporit's shadow clone out of action after striking the real alien with the missile, allowing TAC to converge onto the invader instead. Despite this though, Alien Hipporit's real attacks were all just as potent as the shadow clone's was, and after taking down all of their jets once again, Alien Hipporit trapped all of TAC's members inside rings of fire with his flames, hoping to watch them all slowly burn to death.
Suddenly, a green travel sphere appeared from out the sky and struck Alien Hipporit, revealed itself to be a sixth ultra: The Father of Ultra. The leader of the Space Garrison used his Ultra Shower ability to save TAC from their fiery prisons and free the lifeless Ace from his jade coating. Before Ultra Father could free the others though, Alien Hipporit attacked him instead. Despite Ultra Father managing to take down the alien with his attacks, he had expended much of his own energy traveling from the Land of Light to the Earth, weakening him to the point where Alien Hipporit's attacks were more than he could take. Knowing that he was finished, Ultra Father tore off his color timer and used it to revive Ace before dying of his own injuries. With Ace alive once more, the ultra resumed his fight with the surprised alien. Alien Hipporit was overwhelmed by the combined might of Ace and TAC (who assisted the ultra,) and finally after a short battle, Ace struck him with his Metallium Ray, obliterating the alien. With Alien Hipporit no more, the ultra brothers were freed from their imprisonment as well, and the brothers carried Father of Ultra's body back home to honor his sacrifice. [Miracle! - Hipporit Capsule (ヒッポリトカプセル, Hipporito Kapuseru): Alien Hipporit's signature attack. The alien can materialize a capsule that's large enough to envelope an entire ultra. Once a victim is trapped in it, the capsule releases a substance known as "Hipporit Tar" (ヒッポリトタール, Hipporito Tāru), which quickly hardens to whomever is coated in it, transforming the encased victim into a statue of Jade. The tar and jade will disappear upon Alien Hipporit's death.
- Shadow Clone: By using a form of meditation, Alien Hipporit can create a shadow clone of himself. The shadow clone stand at 200 meters tall, is intangible to conventional weaponry, and possesses the same abilities as the original Alien Hipporit, albeit of a limited range. However, the shadow clone will vanish instantly should the real Alien Hipporit be attacked while he's meditating.
- Hipporit Beam (ヒッポリトビーム, Hipporito Bīmu): Alien Hipporit can fire yellow bolts of electricity from the three prongs on his head.
- Hipporit Missile (ヒッポリトミサイル, Hipporito Misairu): Alien Hipporit can launch explosive, missile-like spikes from his hands.
- Hurricane Winds: Alien Hipporit can fire strong blasts of wind from his nozzle-shaped mouth.
- Flames: Alien Hipporit can fire a stream of flames from his nozzle-shaped mouth.
- Fire Punches: Alien Hipporit can also summon flames around his hands for added damage in physical combat.
- Blinding Flashes: Alien Hipporit can emit a blinding flash of light from the middle prong on his head.
- Monstrous Light Rays: Alien Hipporit can fire yellow bolts of electricity from its eyes.
- Destructive Rays: Alien Hipporit can fire red shotgun-like energy blasts from the red sphere on his abdomen.
- Teleportation: Alien Hipporit can teleport whenever the alien is in a pinch, as well as to ambush his opponents.
- Telepathy: Alien Hipporit can project his thoughts en mass onto others via telepathy.
