History[]

Ultraman Cosmos[]

Bolgils was a monster that lived underground until it had gained a ravenous appetite for Techno-Plasma; a power source that was only available from the equipment used by the Space Development Center for their TECCH Boosters. The monster first made its presence known when it attacked Paris, France and later appeared in Shanghai, China, both in search for its preferred food source, but to no avail. When it detected Techno-Plasma in Japan, the monster surfaced once more at night, but was immediately confronted by Team EYES. After absorbing their Laser Net, the team fired on it with their weapons. However with Musashi being weakened from overworking himself as of late, the monster managed to shoot down their TECCH and immediately burrowed away.

A few days later, Bolgils came back to the surface after it had detected some Techno-Plasma from the Space Development Center that Musashi was working at. The monster was once again confronted by Team EYES, who instead tried to appease Bolgils by feeding it a Plasma Wave fired by their TECCHs. However, this was not enough to fill up the monster, and Bolgils continues its trek towards the Center. The team again fired on it with their weapons while Captain Hiura lead the monster away from the center. Eventually, Bolgils grew annoyed with their interference and began fighting back by firing at them with its fireballs. Even with Musashi coming back to aide the team in stopping the monster, Bolgils continued to resist them and blasted their TECCHs out the sky. Musashi transformed into Ultraman Cosmos to rescue his comrades, and after managing to do so, the ultra fought with the monster instead. Cosmos managed to resist Bolgils's fireballs and after wearing down the monster, the ultra fired on it with his Energy Shoot attack. The energy output of the attack managed to fill up Bolgils with 700 years worth of plasma energy, which was more than enough to satisfy the monster, who immediately fell asleep.[Musashi's Sky] Bolgils was then transported to the Kaburaya Islands to live out the rest of its days in peace. During its stay on the islands, the monster managed to make friends with fellow monster: Mogrudon.[The Nightmare Experiment] [Final Test]

Bolgils would later get involved in Chaos Header's final assault against Ultraman Cosmos, when the life-form causing a planet-sized earthquake, disturbing many of Earth's monsters, including Bolgils.[The Greatest Invasion] Chaos Header would then shatter the barrier surrounding the Kaburaya Islands, hoping to distract Cosmos as much as it could so that it could take Treasure Base and Team EYES hostage.[Cry of the Earth (Ultraman Cosmos episode)] Many of the islands' monsters opted to stay put, but Bolgils (along with Lidorias and Mogrudon) sensed that Musashi was in trouble, and the three monsters escaped and dispersed to help in any way they could.[Showdown on the Moon] Knowing that the life-form wasn't evil, only missing its compassion and understanding of positive emotions, Bolgils didn't engage the life-form in battle. Instead, it emitted a cry that appeared to affect it. Once Ultraman Cosmos showed up, and Musashi was able to merge with the ultra once more, he held off Chaos Header's true form: Chaos Darkness, while Bolgils, Lidorias, and Mogrudon weakened the life-form with their cries. Once Chaos Darkness was purified and transformed into Chaos Header 0, the three monsters returned to the Kaburaya Islands once more.[True Hero]

Ultraman Cosmos vs. Ultraman Justice: The Final Battle[]

Once Musashi had achieved his dream of becoming an astronaut, Bolgils, Lidorias, and Golmede were selected to be the first monsters to join him in being relocated to Planet Juran. Before their journey could begin though, Musashi and Ultraman Cosmos were both sent to another dimension after being defeated by Ultraman Justice and the Gloker, who were intent on resetting Earth. Knowing that their invasion needed to be stopped, Bolgils, Lidorias, and Golmede escaped from the Kaburaya Islands once more and were joined by Donron in confronting the invading robots. With the help of Team EYES, Earth's monsters were able to destroy a pair of Gloker Pawns, but once the remaining Pawns merged into Gloker Rook, the battle was turned completely against the four monsters, who were all defeated by Gloker Rook's attacks. Luckily, the monsters' courage helped Julie see the errors of her ways, and Ultraman Justice faced the remaining Gloker himself.

After Justice (and a revived Cosmos) destroyed the robots and the Giga Endra, Bolgils, Lidorias, and Golmede returned to the Kaburaya Islands to await their transport, while Donron returned to his underground home. Musashi would then safely accompany the three monsters to their new home on Planet Juran as planned.

Ultraman Saga[]

Although not partaking in the events of Alien Bat's siege on Earth, Musashi mentions that Bolgils, and all of the Kaburaya Islands' monsters were all safely relocated to Planet Juran. Bolgils, and many more of its own kind, have grown in numbers and now co-exist peacefully with humans on their new home.

Ultraman Orb: THE ORIGIN SAGA[]

Although not partaking in the events of Doctor Psychi and the Bezelves' siege on Kanon and Earth, Bolgils was briefly seen having a routine check-up being done on it by Musashi while the monster was feeding on some plants. During the check-up, Musashi was contacted by Shin Asuka and informed of the doctor's nefarious plans to use the Bezelves' Kugutsu to control monsters.[The Echo]
