For Smiles (笑顔のために, Egao no tame ni) is the fourth episode of Ultraman Trigger: New Generation Tiga.[1]
Synopsis[]
A mysterious artifact is excavated from the Ultra-Ancient ruins. As GUTS-Select investigates, the treasure Ignis had been hunting awakens Oka-Gubila! With the town in danger, Kengo must transform into Trigger to make everyone smile!
Summary[]
As he was seemingly tending to R'lyeh, Yuzare once again appeared in Kengo's dream which turned into a nightmare. He witnessed a vision of the Ultra-Ancient civilization being destroyed by the three Giants of Darkness. As the Giants of Darkness slowly approached, Kengo looked down to see that he had assumed a strange appearance before he woke up in the command center.
Kengo, Akito, and Yuna were sent on security duty at a site where ruins of the Ultra-Ancient civilization were discovered. Kengo recognized the shape of the tower as the same one from Trigger's memories. A suspicious looking researcher took a hold of one of the artifacts, and Yuna confronted him for identification. Ignis revealed himself to them and sought after the artifacts at the site. As he was about to be apprehended, he retreated and ran away from security.
Back on the Nursedessei, Kengo asked Akito for more information about Ultraman Trigger and the Ultra-Ancient civilization. Akito revealed that the stone tablet in his lab was excavated twenty-one years ago from the Ultra-Ancient civilization ruins by the Sizuma Foundation. Ultraman Trigger helped the priestess Yuzare to seal away the three Giants of Darkness thirty million years ago. Kengo started to connected the pieces together, but was not certain what the darkness that enveloped him in his nightmare was or why he was able to witness Trigger's memories and visions of Yuzare even before he obtained the light. Kengo remembered seeing the Ancient Sparklence, which Akito based the GUTS-Sparklence on, in Trigger's memories and fawned over Akito's impressive creations. They were interrupted by Ignis, who managed to get on board the Nursedessei with a broom made with feathers of a Guebasser. He took the Ancient Sparklence and attempted to escape, but as he ran down the hall he passed by the bridge of the ship and was stopped by GUTS-Select.
The alarm went off as a monster was surfacing fast from underground in Ista City. Marluru also detected another signal that the monster was drawn to. To their surprise it was coming from the Nursedessei. Ignis took out the artifact, that he had secretly stolen from the archaeological site, which appeared to flash yellow. Unwilling to give the beacon back, Ignis left he ship and ran away. The GUTS Falcon is deployed to deal with Oka-Gubila as Yuna evacuated civilians while Akito and Kengo were sent to chased Ignis. As Ignis was about to rest on a bench, Oka-Gubila surfaced beneath him and ended up on the monster's back. The GUTS Falcon pulled the monster up from the ground which sent Ignis airborne as he dropped the beacon. Oka-Gubila's drill damaged the GUTS Falcon. Kengo told Akito to find the beacon while transformed into Ultraman Trigger to fight the monster. Trigger had a hard time fighting Oka-Gubila as it dove underground to attack him by surprise, even being sent into the air. As Oka-Gubila charged at him, Akito managed to recover the beacon and lured the mosnter away, giving Trigger enough time to change into Power Type and manhandle the monster. With the Deracium Claw Impact striking its head, Trigger defeated the Oka-Gubila.
The Giants of Darkness discuss how they shall awaken Yuzare. Hudra planned to toy with Yuna, while Darrgon asked Carmeara what they will do about Trigger. The utterance of Trigger's name enraged her and sought revenge for what happened thirty million years ago. Darrgon seemed to not be satisfied by her answer.
