History[]

Ultraman R/B[]

Horoboros was one of the many Monster Crystals that was in the possession of Makoto Aizen. Having been defeated in battle as Ultraman Orb Dark against Ultraman Rosso and Ultraman Blu, and having his Orb Ring NEO confiscated by Katsumi and Isami, the madman sought to retrieve what had been taken from him, and Horoboros was the tool to do so.[Under the Name of Ultraman]

Meeting with Katsumi and Isami in Ayaka City while the Minato family was taking a day off, Aizen challenged the brothers to a "final test" to see if they were truly deserving of the power of an ultra's light, by unleashing Horoboros in the middle of the city for them to fight it. Knowing that the monster would rampage if left alone, Katsumi and Isami transformed into Ultraman Rosso and Ultraman Blu and Rosso used the Orb Ring NEO to blast the beast with the Zedcium Ray. However, Horoboros was unlike any monster the ultraman brothers had faced before. The monster's evasive speed and brute strength allowed it to outmaneuver Rosso and Blu and pummel both brothers into submission. In addition, the monster was not only strong enough to withstand their Orb Ring NEO's attacks, but also their own elemental attacks as well. Finally after the beast forced Blu to revert back into Isami, the monster brushed off Rosso's attacks and pummeled him into submission until he too was forced to revert back into Katsumi. The ultraman brothers were defeated and Aizen took back the Orb Ring NEO from them while they were weakened.[A Weekend of Minato Family]

Wanting to show off how strong he was again, Aizen transformed into Ultraman Orb Dark to face Horoboros himself. Much like Rosso and Blu though, the fake ultra struggled against the beast, and their battle wound up destroying a good portion of Ayaka City. The situation only worsened when Orb Dark used AizenTech's drones to record his battle with Horoboros all across the city in an effort to make their fight more cinematic, despite all the damage that their fight was already causing. During their fight, Horoboros caught the fake ultra off guard and began pummeling Orb Dark like it did with Rosso and Blu, but after Orb Dark secretly disabled the energy output to the Monster Crystal by pressing on the beast's chest, Horoboros became paralyzed and fell unconscious. Orb Dark then took advantage of the underhanded trick by destroying his beast with the Dark Origium Ray. Horoboros was defeated, but before his crystal could be retrieved by Aizen, someone else gathered it up instead.[Aizen Capriccio]

That someone else was revealed to be Saki Mitsurugi. During a battle between Rosso, Blu, Orb Dark, and a Bezelb, Mitsurugi summoned Horoboros and strengthened the beast by transforming it into its true bipedal form (it was later revealed that Horoboros's initial quadrupedal form was a weakened state that Aizen had enabled in order to show off more). Orb Dark tried to weaken Horoboros's crystal like before, but without Aizen's manipulation, the beast stabbed its former master with its claw, obliterating Ultraman Orb Dark before turning its attention to Rosso and Blu. The ultraman brothers tried to fight back with their elemental powers, but like their battle with the beast's weakened state, Horoboro's true form was far too powerful for the already weakened ultraman brothers to stand a chance against. The beast's faster speed, powerful strength, and far more savage nature allowed it to best both ultras once more before defeating them with its new "Megante Crusher" attack. With Rosso and Blu defeated once more, Mitsurugi recalled Horoboros and fled the scene.

The next day, Mitsurugi summoned Horoboros once more and unleashed the beast in Ayaka City, where it immediately went on a rampage destroying everything in its path. The monster was soon confronted by Rosso and Blu once more, and the ultraman brothers fought the beast by using a combination of fire and ground attacks in an effort to restrain Horoboros in dried mud. However, their plan failed as Horoboros managed to free itself from the mud and resumed pummeling Rosso and Blu until the ultraman brothers couldn't stand up again. As the three of them fought, Asahi (who had learned of her brothers' secret identities as Rosso and Blu) arrived on the scene of their battle and hurled the Orb Ring NEO at them (which had been separated from Aizen after he was defeated). Utilizing its power for themselves, Rosso and Blu overwhelmed Horoboros with its beam attacks until finally, the beast was destroyed by their Triple Origium Ray.[What We Have to Protect]

Sometime later after revealing that the planet-eating monster Leugocyte was headed for earth, Mitsurugi transformed into Horoboros to eliminate Katsumi and Isami once and for all, dead-set on believing that they were unworthy of the power of her brothers (the original Rosso and Blu). Knowing that she wouldn't listen to reason, the brothers transformed into Rosso and Blu to do battle. Like with their previous battles though, Horoboros vastly overpowered the brothers individually. To make matters worse, the Kiwami Crystal refused to let them merge into one due to Katsumi's hesitation, which allowed Horoboros to continue beating the ultraman brothers into submission. Finally once Asahi stepped in between their battle and shielded her brothers, refusing to let Horoboros continue fighting, Rosso and Blu realized that protecting their family and the universe was far more important than living up to their title as ultramen. No longer holding back, the brothers fused into Ultraman Ruebe and the fused ultra put up a much better fight, pummeling and slicing up Horoboros with the Ruebe Kourin. However just as it seemed like Mitsurugi was finished, Ruebe unfused back into Rosso and Blu, who restated their intentions to stop Leugocyte and Mitsurugi from destroying the Earth. Defeated and powerless, Horoboros reverted back into Mitsurugi.[Candies and Sweet Buns]

Horoboros was used for the last time in battle against the monster Kamisori Demaaga, who had just emerged from the same dimension as Mio Minato (Katsumi and Isami's long-lost mother). With Katsumi and Isami unable to transform after their previous battle, Mitsurugi faced the monster herself by transforming into Horoboros once again. The two monsters fought fiercely, but with Mitsurugi injured from her previous battle with the ultraman brothers, Kamisori Demaaga quickly beat Horoboros down before striking him with his Kamisori Grinder attack, only to teleport away. Defeated, Mitsurugi was left to recovered from her injuries. Sometime later after learning that the monster was feeding on Ray Energy (which was needed to stop Leugocyte), Mitsurugi transformed into Horoboros once more and dragged Kamisori Demaaga back to the surface to do battle. Like last time though, Mitsurugi was still not fully healed from her previous battle with the monster, and Kamisori Demaaga again beat Horoboros down before striking him with his Edge Scratcher attacks, this time destroying the monster and turning Mitsurugi back to normal.[Mother From Alternate Dimension]
