History[]
Return of Ultraman[]
Arriving from outer space in a meteorite, Kupukupu was found and captured by a local research team and sent to MAT to determine what to do with it. Despite the creature's docile and harmless nature, MAT decided it was best to kill Kupukupu, out of fear that he could turn into something more dangerous. Thus, the creature was blown to pieces by their SP-70 laser gun, while its remains were destroyed by their flamethrowers. One fragment of Kupukupu still remained though, and was gathered up by an introvert boy named Akio. Taking sympathy for the creature, Akio glue the fragment to his bedroom wall, where Kupukupu began to regenerate. After merging with the wall and taking the form of a mural, Akio notices the reborn monster and suggested to it to sport more features, including a shell, horns, spikes, and heat rays to defend itself with. Taking Akio's advice to heart, Kupukupu altered his form to match Akio's description, with the boy now christening it as "Kingstron".
As time went on, Kingstron continued to grow more and more, and after Akio impulsively began ordering Kingstron to be more violent (after an argument with his apartment's landlord,) Kingstron obliged, by tearing up Akio's apartment room. When Akio's mother found out about the monster's presence, MAT was notified and they tried to destroy the monster with their guns. Kingstron however absorbed the energy of their guns to speed up his regeneration, and once he had enough, Kingstron took on a physical form of his own. Obliging to Akio's prior wishes, Kingstron proceeded to destroy the entire apartment, while Akio tried to regain control of his creation, but to no avail. Akio was soon trapped in an elevator shaft, but Go came to his rescue, while the rest of MAT continued to fight on the outside.
Akio was eventually rescued by MAT, while Go managed to transform into Ultraman Jack to face the monster himself. Jack managed to gain the upper-hand at first by blinding Kingstron with a Dust Storm and breaking off the monster's horn. However after striking Jack with his heat ray, Kingstron managed to regain the battle's momentum, biting onto Jack's leg, shrugging off one of Jack's Specium Rays, and even disarming the ultra of his Ultra Bracelet. Once Akio informed Jack of the monster's weakness, the ultra managed to debilitate Kingstron by turning around his back spikes. Finally after retrieving his Ultra Bracelet, Jack used it on the monster, reducing Kingstron into a skeleton, this time ending its life for good.[Horror! Birth of the Apartment Monster]
