  • Subtitle: Full Moon Terrible-Monster (満月超獣, Mangetsu Chōjū)

History[]

Ultraman Ace[]

One night during a full-moon, Lunaticks emerged in a nearby village nestled in a valley. With the Terrible-Monster's appearance, a series of geysers began erupting all around Lunaticks as it proceeded to rampage in the village. Luckily, TAC was already on patrol and were quick to oppose the Terrible-Monster's attack, with Minami in particular being very persistent in destroying it. Despite their efforts though, Lunaticks shrugged off their weapons, downed their jets with its explosive eyeballs, and immediately fled back underground to feed on some magma from deep within the earth. As TAC was on patrol in the event that the Terrible-Monster would resurface, Minami insisted to Hokuto that they transform into Ultraman Ace immediately. She confessed that Lunaticks plans on feeding on all of the magma within the earth, transforming the planet into a withered and dead rock, just like the moon itself. She also revealed that she knew about Lunaticks for a long time, even before they became TAC members and that they needed to deal with the beast as Ace since Lunaticks only appears once-a-year when the moon is full in October.

Realizing what needed to be done, Hokuto and Minami transformed into Ultraman Ace and burrowing deep into the earth by spinning like a drill, Ace confronted the Terrible-Monster as it was feeding. At first, Ace had trouble against Lunaticks due to the intense heat from the underground, the Terrible-Monster using Earth's magma as a weapon to harm Ace, and Lunaticks spitting fire at the ultra, but Ace continued fighting through its attacks until Lunaticks fled back to the surface once more. A volcano was activated during their fight, and as it rose to the surface, so did Lunaticks and Ace. A fierce battle between the ultra and the Terrible-Monster commenced as they were surrounded by geysers and magma from the erupting volcano. Despite being surrounded by the elements, and Lunaticks bombarding him with its plethora of attacks, Ace powered through them, and after beating down the Terrible-Monster, Ace hurled Lunaticks into the volcano's crater. Lunaticks withered in agony as it was set ablaze by the volcano's magma, but it quickly succumbed to its injuries and died.

With Lunaticks death, Minami's home on the moon (which had previously been ravaged by Lunaticks before she came to earth), and the people who were wiped out by the Terrible-Monster, had been avenged.[1][Farewell Yuko, Sister of the Moon]

Ultraman Mebius[]

Lunatyx Mebius

Lunaticks, as seen in Ultraman Mebius.

Lunaticks reappeared in the series, Ultraman Mebius.[2]

Lunaticks was summoned by a pillar-like object on the Moon (the source of a Space Time Wave that had been attracting invaders to attack the Earth and Ultraman Mebius,) to protect it when said pillar was about to be attacked by GUYS. Although Lunaticks was able to stave off GUYS's efforts in destroying the pillar, with the help of Seiji Hokuto exploiting one of the object's weak points, GUYS managed to destroy a portion of it that had disabled their Phoenix Nest and they were able to carry out their mission safely once more. Shortly after, Hokuto transformed into Ultraman Ace and he appeared on the Moon to battle Lunaticks while GUYS was left to destroy the pillar by themselves. Like their original fight, Lunaticks was no match for Ace, and the Terrible-Monster was destroyed by Ace's Metallium Ray.[Ace's Wish]

Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle[]

Lunaticks reappeared in the series, Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle.[3]

Lunaticks was one of the many monsters that inhabited Planet Boris. When the ZAP SPACY set off to retrieve some parts to fix the Gostar Dragon's engine on an island known as the "Grand Cape Supply Base," the crew was quickly ambushed by the appearance of Nova, Saramandora, and Lunaticks, who were all fiercely guarding the base from them. Luckily, Rei was with the crew and he quickly summoned Gomora to do battle against the trio of Monsters. Gomora easily vaporized Nova with a single blast from his Super Oscillatory Ray, but the monster was quickly double-teamed by the combined might of Saramandora and Lunaticks. Suddenly as the monsters were fighting, four mysterious black ships (which had attacked the ZAP SPACY previously) arrived on the scene of their battle and attacked them, destroying Saramandora and Lunaticks in the process with a few energy blasts. The four ships then combined to form one giant robot, known as "King Joe Black".[Unexpected Reunion]

Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legend The Movie[]

Lunaticks reappeared in the film, Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends The Movie as one of Ultraman Belial's revived 100 Monster Army.

Lunaticks eamed up with fellow monsters, Red King, Roberuga II, Alien Valkie, Frogos (B), Mukadender, Jashrine, Angross, Gromite, Kelbim, Birdon, Alien Temperor, Arstron, Alien Hipporit, Telesdon, and Zoa Muruchi to take on Ultraman Mebius and Gomora in the Monster Graveyard. However, he (and Jashrine) were betrayed and murdered by Ultraman Belial when the evil Ultra struck Mebius with the "Belial Geno Thunder" attack from the Giga Battle Nizer, killing them in the process.[Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legend The Movie]

Ultra Fight Victory[]

Lunaticks reappeared in the segment series, Ultra Fight Victory.[4]

Lunaticks was summoned by Yapool to attack the imprisoned Ultraman Ginga while Ultraman Victory Knight was locked in battle against Victory-Killer. Before the Terrible-Monster could attack the ultra however, the victorian guardian Shepardon was revived by Victory Knight's Knight Timber, and so Lunaticks and Shepardon engaged in battle. Lunaticks was no match for the heroic monster, and the Terrible-Monster was quickly obliterated by Shepardon's Victorium Flash attack.
