Muruchi (ムルチ, Muruchi) is a monster that first appeared in Return of Ultraman. Later incarnations introduced Zoa Muruchi (ゾアムルチ, Zoa Muruchi), an "updated" variation of Muruchi that first appeared in Ultraman Mebius.

History[]
Return of Ultraman[]
Muruchi was a monster that appeared one day in Kawasaki during a rainstorm, where it terrorized a boy named Ryo. Before Ryo could be trampled by the monster though, Muruchi was sealed underground, beneath a riverbed near a highway by the telekinetic power of Alien Mates. Muruchi would remained sealed until Ryo was attacked by an angry mob of people who feared aliens (believing that the boy was an alien himself due to his association with Alien Mates.) During which, Alien Mates was murdered by a paranoid policeman, and the seal containing the monster was broken.
Freed once again, Muruchi resumed its rampage, attacking humans and destroying some surrounding factories. Hideki Go, who had gotten to know Ryo and the alien after spending some time together, initially refused to fight back. However after being chastised by Captain Ryu for letting humans be subjected to the monster's chaos, Go relented and reluctantly transformed into Ultraman Jack to stop Muruchi. After a long battle between the ultra and the monster, Jack threw Muruchi into a burning factory and destroyed the monster with his Specium Ray.[The Monster Tamer and the Boy]
Ultraman Ace[]
"Muruchi II" (ムルチ(二代目, Muruchi Nidaime) was a monster who appeared while Ultraman Ace was locked in battle against the combined might of Alien Metron Jr. and Doragory, as the ultra's third opponent.[Monster vs. Terrible-Monster vs. Alien] The monster, the alien, and the Terrible-Monster all triple-teamed the ultra, but during the skirmish, Muruchi II had accidentally bumped into Doragory, which enraged the Terrible-Monster into attacking the monster instead. As quickly and abruptly as it had appeared, Muruchi II was quickly disposed of when Doragory viciously murdered it by tearing off its jaw and leg in an incredibly gory manner.[Life of the Sun, Life of Ace]

Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle[]
Zoa Muruchi was one of the many monsters that inhabited Planet Boris.[2] One day, the ZAP SPACY's Pendragon had crash-landed into Boris's ocean after being shot down by four mysterious black ships. As Kumano hurried to get the Pendragon's generator operational again, a stray Zoa Muruchi arrived on the scene (having been lured to their location by a signal that Oki used to ward off a school of Arigera earlier,) and attempted to attack the ZAP SPACY while they were trapped. With Oki unable to ward off Zoa Muruchi, Rei took control of the situation by summoning his newly acquired Eleking to do battle instead. The monsters' battle however was roughly at a standstill with Eleking and Zoa Muruchi's strength being on par with one another. However after a long and hard battle, Eleking emerged victorious by electrocuting Zoa Muruchi with his tail coiled around the monster, causing Zoa Muruchi to explode.[The Pendragon Doesn't Rise to the Surface!]
Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legend The Movie[]
Zoa Muruchi was one of Ultraman Belial's revived 100 Monster Army. Zoa Muruchi teamed up with fellow monsters, Red King, Lunaticks, Roberuga II, Alien Valky, Frogros (B), Mukadender, Jashrine, Angross, Gromite, Kelbim, Birdon, Alien Temperor, Arstron, Alien Hipporit, and Telesdon to take on Ultraman Mebius and Gomora in the Monster Graveyard. Ultraman Ginga S[]
Zoa Muruchi was one of the many spark dolls that was in the possession of Exceller and his followers.[3] After Jace the Alien Metron arrived to save Chigusa from Bolst, the Alien Guts MonsLived into Zoa Muruchi to deal with Exceller's traitor himself. Being far weaker than the monster though, Jace was quickly weakened after being blasted by the monster's ray. Luckily, Hikaru and Sho were both on the scene, and they came to the alien's rescue by transforming into Ultraman Ginga and Ultraman Victory. Despite the battle being three-on-one though, Zoa Muruchi was more than a match for Ginga, Victory, and Jace altogether, and the monster fended off all three of them with little effort. Hoping to help Jace, Chigusa sang her hit-song "Ultraman Ginga", and her singing gave the Alien Metron a second wind, allowing Jace to summon a pair of his chemical-filled glow sticks to dance to her song. Hearing Chigusa's singing and noticing Jace's dancing, Bolst and Zoa Muruchi were hypnotized by their song and dance, which allowed Ginga and Victory to destroy the monster with a combination of Victory's Shepardon Saber Flash attack, and Ginga firing Ultraman Jack's Ultra-Shot.[To Meet You]
