Ultraman[]

When a nuclear bomb (meant to be tested on Jupiter) detonated underwater, a male Ragon was effected by its radiation, which caused the monster to grow into much bigger proportions and become much more savage than the rest of its race.[2] The Ragon's savagery caused the monster to attack several ships until he made his way to Hayama Marina so that it could feed. Ragon first attempted to do so by trying to eat the sleep Michiko, but was stabbed by Hoshino, allowing him, Michiko, and Fuji to retreat, while the provoked Ragon chased after them into a nearby forest. Hayata and Arashi of the Science Patrol arrived on the scene to fend off the monster, but were unable to do so as Ragon was also carrying one of the bombs that was meant to go to Jupiter, and if they were to attack Ragon, the bomb could detonate. Even after using music to lure the monster into the sea, Ragon's savagery from his mutation caused him to go wild instead of be enticed by music like the rest of his race.

With the Science Patrol unable to do anything, Ragon managed to shoot down Arashi's VTOL with his newly-acquired Radioactive Ray and threatened to eat the ejected Arashi, until Hoshino lured Ragon away from him by shouting at the monster. However he became cornered between Ragon and a cliff they were both dangerously standing over. Hayata, realizing that Hoshino was in trouble, transformed into Ultraman and battled Ragon himself. At first, the battle between Ultraman and Ragon was difficult due to Ultraman having to keep the bomb away from Ragon, as well as to not let it get activated. However once the bomb fell down a large gully and became activated from the impact, Ultraman quickly ended the fight by blasting Ragon with his Specium Ray, which knocked the monster off a steep cliff to his doom.[Five Seconds Before the Explosion]

Ultraman Ginga[]

Ragon was one of the many monsters (and ultras) who were transformed into spark dolls during the Dark Spark War. Its spark doll was used by Alien Valky on Chigusa Kuno when the alien used her jealousy (towards Misuzu for achieving Chigusa's dream of being an idol and for being chosen for a photo shoot instead of her) to corrupt her into DarkLiving into the monster. Initially sent at night to attack Misuzu while she was asleep, Ragon was enticed by Chigusa's favorite song: "Ultra Music", where she wound up scaring one of the photographers of the shoot instead, forcing her to flee into the night. The next day, Ragon appeared at the shoot herself and tried attacking Misuzu again, but was once again caught off-guard by Ultra Music playing on the school's loudspeaker. With Ragon distracted, Hikaru wrestled with her to try and bring Chigusa back to her senses. This however only provoked Ragon, who took on a giant form to attack her friends instead.

Knowing what needed to be done, Hikaru UltraLived with King Pandon's Spark Doll to fend off the berserk Ragon. Ragon however wasted little time in taking down her opponent by blasting King Pandon with her Radioactive Ray before relentlessly stomping on the monster while he was down. Remembering Ragon's weakness to music, Misuzu played Ultra Music again on the school's loudspeaker, which distracted Ragon from her fight. Now free from her assault, Hikaru switched out King Pandon for Ultraman Ginga, who put up a much better fight with Ragon. During their struggle, Hikaru and Misuzu reminded Chigusa of her dream to be an idol and urged her not to give up on that dream, nor to give in to the darkness that had corrupted her. This caused Ragon to lose her will to keep fighting, and allowed Ginga to use his Ginga Comfort attack to purify Hikaru's friend, reducing Ragon back into a Spark Doll, and Chigusa back to normal.[The Idol Is Ragon]
