Tatara Island Again: Ultra Monster Anthology (多々良島ふたたび ウルトラ怪獣アンソロジー, Tatarajima futatabi urutora kaijū ansorojī)[1] is an anthology novel in the Ultra Series. Featuring seven short stories from different authors, the anthology was published as the first volume of the TSUBURAYA×HAYAKAWA UNIVERSE novel series. In 2016, two of the short stories, "Tatara Island Again" and "The Man Who Took The Footprints of Kaiju Rukusubigura", jointly won the 47th Seiun Award for Best Japanese Short Story.[2][3]

The Man Who Took The Footprints of Kaiju Rukusubigura[]

By Hirofumi Tanaka. A story about a passionate man who works to collect the footprints of a monster for inclusion in his "Full-Color Complete Monster Encyclopedia."

Ritual of Wounds[]

By Dempow Torishima. A story about the pride of the special cleaners who take care of monster parts strewn about the city in the aftermath of battles between giants.

Transformation Trouble[]

By Shingo Fujisaki. A man unable to transform into Ultraseven (character) seeks help at a local mental health clinic.
