ULTRAMAN (ウルトラマン, Urutoraman) is a Japanese manga series that serves as a sequel to the 1966 series Ultraman which takes place in an alternate universe where Ultraman was the only Ultra to arrive on Earth.
The series received a motion comic release in 2014 and a subsequent 3DCG original net animation on Netflix.
Synopsis[]
Several years have passed since Ultraman's departure from Earth after completing his mission to protect the planet from malevolent aliens and kaijus alike. The son of Shin Hayata, Ultraman's former host and human partner, Shinjiro, discovered that both he and his father have inherited the Giant of Light's powers. Coupled with the revelation of his father's history with the legendary "Giant of Light", Shinjiro must combat new alien threats as the new Ultraman.
