Personality[]
Belial's most defining traits are his greed and pride, which he had even prior to his merger with Alien Reiblood. Envious upon Ken's appointment to the position of Commander of the Inter Galactic Defense Force, coupled with a fascination from witnessing Alien Empera's might, Belial, with his wounded pride and a growing inferiority complex, turned to the path of evil. Attempting to steal the Core of the Plasma Spark corrupted Belial.
History[]
Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy[]
Ultraman Belial was once an Ultra Warrior who fought together with Ultraman Ken during the Ultimate Wars. They battled Alien Empera together, but while Belial was left wounded, Ken unlocked his hidden power and defeated Alien Empera. Upon Ken's appointment as founding commander of the Inter Galactic Defense Force, and fascination of Alien Empera's power, Belial desired to gain more power. The gap between him and comrade widen as time went on. Frustrated by his wounded pride, Belial, coaxed by Tartarus, decided to take energy from the Core of the Plasma Spark to surpass Father of Ultra. However, the light was too strong for him to handle and drove him mad. Belial descended back down from the tower only to be met by Zoffy and several guards and fought them off until he was forced to flee.
Belial flew off to a near orbit asteroid, evading his arrest, and was met by Absolute Tartarus, who revealed himself to be from the future and showed Belial his future and the miserable fate that he would ultimately face. As he lamented at the joke of a life he would lead, the younger Belial followed Absolute Tartarus's promise to change his fate and was displaced from time, and was gathered as one of many villains that have been killed by the Ultras.[Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy]

Etymology[]
Belial's name comes from Belial the leader of the Sons of Darkness, in the Dead Sea Scrolls. His inferiority complex could be derived from the same Hebrew word often understood as "lacking worth" (בְלִיַּעַל bĕli-yaal).
