Ultraman Blazar (ウルトラマンブレーザー, Urutoraman Burēzā) is the Ultraman that Gento Hiruma transforms into. He is a Giant of Light that came from M421, a blazar far away from Earth.[1]
Personality[]
Unlike other Ultras, Blazar displays more wild and primitive demeanor as reflected through his appearance, wild fighting style, the habit of barking and yelling at his enemies to intimidate them, and seemingly unable to speak in human tongue. Still, he displayed some discipline through the custom of assuming a meditative stance similar to a prayer ritual before or after a fight as a way to prepare his mind and/or pay respects to his opponent. He is also capable to resonate with his host Gento's humanity, sense of justice, and the desire to protect others, the last which the two shared in common and importantly, the reason Blazar chose him in the first place.
The Ultra is also shown to display inquisitive mind. Gento's habit of attentively watching news more than usual is attributed to Blazar's influence as the Ultra wanted to learn more about humans in general. Despite their shared understanding on the necessity to kill for the greater good, Blazar's newfound soft spot for newborns saw him realizing such approach not apply to enemies who happened to be a parent attempting to protect their child, hence the reason he wrested control over Gento when the latter considered to kill Demaaga as the endeavor would put the life of its hatchling into jeopardy until they agreed to deal the threat in non-lethal manner.
Blazar's ferocity is balanced with strong self-preservation, knowing when it is too dangerous to continue fighting. The first time he displayed this is during the battle against Nijikagachi where the Ultra de-transformed at last moments. Against Gebalga, he influenced Gento to order Anri and Earth Garon to attempt an escape from the space kaiju in realization of it about to unleash an attack that later proved too much for Earth Garon to handle. Similarly, he forced Gento to retreat from the same space kaiju when their fight at that time too unwinnable.
It soon revealed that the time the Ultra spent with and learning from his had a profound effect on Blazar's character growth; all the times the Ultra interfered in battle were simply because he wished to protect Gento just like how he had always protected others. This, coupled with Gento realizing how much his growing recklessness in his determination to save lives which saw him taking unnecessary risks at the expense of his own safety until Blazar both pointed it out and reminded him of who he was at heart, allowed them to come to a deeper, mutual understanding.
History[]
One night, a space crustacean kaiju Bazanga appears. The GGF’s cleanup operation is unsuccessful, and the special forces led by Gento Hiruma find themselves in a desperate situation. This is when a mysterious giant emerges from light. It is the unidentified humanoid alien that has been rumored among astronauts for decades, code-named "Ultraman".

- Desynchronization: If either Gento or Blazar overcome with strong emotion contrary to the other, one of them would attempt to hijack and assume control over the Ultra's body. Blazar's influence manifests on the left side of his body while Gento the right.

- Spiral Burrade (スパイラルバレード, Supairaru Barēdo): Materializes a giant double-helical energy spear out of what seems to be a miniature black hole formed in his hand, which then hurled or thrusted at his foes as finishing move. In addition of can be broken into several pieces, Spiral Burrade has several applications:
- Lure Burrade (ルアーバレード, Ruā Barēdo): Casts one of Spiral Burrade's ends forward like a fishing rod, sending a thread of energy whose hooked tip snags an underwater monster from a great distance so Blazar can reel it back in to finish it off.
- Spike Cluster: Blazar can will Spiral Burrade to erupt into multiple smaller energy spikes which stab the opponent's body from the inside after skewering through it.
- Arrow Cutter: Blazar can similarly will Spiral Burrade to vertical arrow shape in mid-air, allowing it to slice the target in half rather than impaling it.
- Energy Cocoon: The still-forming Spiral Burrade can alternatively be weaved into a cocoon to encase one or more targets with before lowering them into the ground.
- Grapple Claw: Blazar stabs Spiral Burrade into the ground, shaping it into sort of lever through which the Ultra operates a hydraulic grapple/arcade crane made of same energy above the target.
- Suppressive Sprite (サプレッシブ・スプライト, Supresshibu Supuraito): Blazar fires energy bullets from his fists whose firepower sufficient to stagger a kaiju. The bullet can even be slammed onto things as sort of melee strike.
- Rainbow Slash (レインボー光輪, Reinbō Kōrin): Blazar's version of Ultra Slash performed with aid of Nijikagachi Stone — Blazar Stone the Ultra created from the namesake kaiju's rainbow power — his host and partner Gento inserted into the Blazar Brace. It is larger in size and bearing seven blade of different colors. In its base form, it can easily slice kaijus in half and even deployed as a shield to repel attacks with. Unlike ordinary Ultra Slash, Rainbow Slash also possessed weather manipulating capabilities.
- Double Rainbow Slash (ダブルレインボー光輪, Daburu Reinbō Kōrin): Nijikagachi Stone-empowered Rainbow Slash can be shaped into a smaller pair hold with both hands which then rotated like actual circular saw with increasing speed, allowing them to cut through defenses which too powerful for Spiral Burrade to penetrate.
- Rainbow Blizzard (レインボーブリザード, Reinbō Burizādo): By holding spinning Rainbow Slash in front of him, Blazar can project streams of icy winds which can freeze a kaiju. While performing the technique, its blades glow in blue.
- Barrier: Blazar can conjure a swirling barrier to block oncoming attacks before being tossed away.
- Blazar Stone Creation: By siphoning a portion of a kaiju's latent powers, Blazar can create new Blazar Stones which allows him to tap on powers in question.

- Garadama Thunder Blade Tilsonite Sword (ガラダマ雷鳴剣 チルソナイトソード, Garadama Raimeiken Chirusonaito Sōdo): A curved sword made of Tilsonite rod crafted from Garamon's remains which had been transmuted from being impaled into Gebalga's body. As such, the weapon possesses Garamon's durability and Gebalga's electrokinesis.
