Ultraman King (ウルトラマンキング, Urutoraman Kingu) is a legendary Ultra Hero who is said to live all alone on Planet King and look out for the peace of the universe. For a long time, his existence was a mystery even in planets such as Nebula M78 and Planet L77 of constellation Leo. He appeared on Earth for the first time to save Ultraman Leo who was cornered by the psychic attack of Monster Human Pressure.[1]
After becoming one with the Side Space universe, his power is channeled by Ultraman Geed through his Royal Mega-Master form.

Ultraman Mebius Side Story: The Hikari Saga[]
Appearing on Planet King with a cloak to conceal his identity, King meets Ultraman Hikari. Hearing Hikari's wish for help to protect Planet Arb from Bogarl, King tells Hikari that he knows of King, but before he can meet him, Hikari must prove himself by blowing away the storm raging above them. Once Hikari did this with his Hot Load Shoot, King revealed his identity and gave Hikari the Knight Brace, warning him that the purest waters were the most easily tainted.
When Hikari returned to Arb to see Bogarl slaughtering the lifeforms there, King warned Hikari that he must not fight in anger. However, Hikari did not listen and fought with rage, allowing himself to be turned into Hunter Knight Tsurugi.

While not appearing personally, King was the one who gave the Knight Timbre to Ultraman Hikari so Sho/Ultraman Victory could assume his Victory Knight form.

When the Side Space Universe was being destroyed by Belial's bomb, King displayed how far an Ultraman's Assimilation ability can be taken, merging with the whole universe in order to save it, at the cost of dispersing his consciousness so far that he was unable to answer any Ultra Warriors who called him. As a result, his energy was scattered across the universe in the form of Childhood Radiation, with Kei Fukuide dispersing Carellan Radiation across Earth so the Childhood Radiation would become Little Stars, allowing the Ultra Capsules to be activated.
Present Day[]
While Laiha Toba had her Little Star go dormant due to the trauma of losing her parents, it eventually resurfaced, allowing her to perceive King's voice at critical moments. When Ultraman Belial Chimeraberos attempted to absorb Ultraman Geed, King sent Laiha's consciousness into a mental landscape where she could awaken Riku Asakura, while also using a barrier to prevent Belial from stopping the swordswoman. After Riku awoke, Laiha practiced her swordsmanship as Geed fought to hone her Little Star, eventually sending King's Ultra Capsule to Riku so he could awaken his Royal Megamaster form. After Riku finally defeated Ultraman Belial, he managed to awaken King by activating the ancient giant's Ultra Capsule, finally allowing him to manifest with the Side Space Universe fully healed and the one who sought to destroy it finally dead. Before departing with the Father of Ultra, King entrusted the Earth to them, noting that Riku still had more potential in him. [The Symbol of Geed]

- Assimilation: Like with all Ultras, Ultraman King is able to merge with other lifeforms to heal them. King used this on the Side Space universe after Belial caused the Crisis Impact.
