History[]
Ultraman Regulos[]
Ultraman Regulos was an ultra who was found on Planet D60, entombed in ice and close-to-death, with no memories of his past life except for his own name. When he was found and brought back to full health by Spica, he was scouted by Master Alude, who took Regulos under his wing and began to teach him the Cosmo Beast Style until the ultra could find out the truth about his past. During his stay, Regulos would train rigorously in mind and body alongside his fellow practitioners: Phoros, Albeo, Pharood, Spica, and the mysterious Dias. During which, he befriended Spica and Dias, as well as recognized the Leo brothers as childhood friends, being friendly rivals with Astra in particular. While training with the Cosmo Beast Fighters, Regulos's skills would continue to improve each day, but his mental fortitude was still lacking.
One day, D60 came under attack by the Alien Magma. The armada, lead by Yurub, Lava, and Admiral Volcan, had previously invaded and destroyed L77 and were planning on doing to the same to D60 as well. Regulos and the other Cosmo Beast Fighters confronted the invaders, but he lacked the mental discipline to stop the aliens in his already devastated emotional state, and he was easily defeated by Volcan. Alude managed to destroy all but one of the admiral's ships and was strong enough to damage Volcan through his armor, but the alien managed to poison Alude and the aliens retreated, while Alude is tended to by the other Cosmo Beast Fighters.
After learning that Alude could no longer use the power of Cosmo Beast style due to Volcan's poisoning, Regulos impulsively went after the armada to deal with the invaders himself, only to collide head-first into a mountainside, knocking him unconscious. Upon awakening and being ambushed by an attacking Guebasser, Regulos was rescued by a Cosmo Beast Fighter he did not recognize. The fighter, named Tubahn, was impressed that Regulous was chosen by Alude himself to learn Cosmo Beast style, and offered to train Regulos his own style. Despite some initial disagreements on this arrangement from Phoros, Regulos continued his training from both Phoros and Tubahn for many days, quickly growing more and more in skill and strength. Time passed and soon enough, Regulos completed Tubahn's personal training, with his only task left being to find a Cosmo Beast that would accept him.
Eventually, Volcan and his armada would return to resume their invasion, and Regulos and the Cosmo Beast Fighters would confront the invaders in battle once more. Despite the teachings he had received though, Regulos was overpowered by the Alien Magma duo, but was saved by the duo of Phoros and Tubahn, who destroyed Yurub and Lava the remaining fleet themselves. Despite this victory however, Regulos, Spica, Phoros, and Tubahn were too late to save Albeo and Pharood, who were murdered by Volcan, and Alude, who was found dead alongside a severely weakened Dias. Still lacking the mental discipline to control his emotions, Regulos impulsively attacked Volcan to avenge the deaths of his master and peers. Unfortunately, Volcan was still too strong for Regulos to handle, and his distraction allowed the alien to strike Phoros and Tubahn with a deadly laser that was meant for Regulos. With their dying breaths, the fighters pass their energy onto Regulos, hoping that he could regain his focus and finish the fight.
Initially, Regulos was too distraught by his instructors' deaths, and was at the mercy of Volcan's attack. Suddenly, he was saved by Phoros's Cosmo White Tiger and Tubahn's Cosmo Red Dragon. Awakening their latent power passed into him, Regulos was emblemed with the Cosmo Beasts on his shoulders and swiftly overpowered Volcan in battle. Even after the alien unleashed a Baraba onto the ultra, Regulos was also assisted by Albeo's Cosmo Crane, and Pharood's Cosmo Snake, who further empowered Regulos and allowed him to easily destroy Baraba. With no other alternative, Volcan maximized his own strength by poisoning himself in a last-ditch effort to kill Regulos once and for all. In spite of this though, the alien was easily countered by Regulos, unable to land a single hit, and was finished when the ultra struck him with his Shadowless Red Dragon & White Tiger Kick. Recognizing the fiery gaze Regulos had in his eyes, Volcan revealed that he knew where the ultra came from, and died taunting Regulos that he will never know the truth of his past.
Meeting up with Spica, Regulos was greeted by the spirits of his fellow practitioners, who acknowledged him as the new Grandmaster of the Cosmo Beast Style. The two vowed to rebuild from nothing, only to be confronted by an unharmed Dias, who killed Spica in cold blood with an energy blast. With her dying breath, Spica gave her Cosmo Panther to a devastated Regulos. Dias then revealed that his true form was that of the absolutian: Absolute Diavolo. Diavolo continued to reveal that it was he who killed Alude in order to obtain his Cosmo Buffalo for himself. In order to do this, he conspired with the Alien Magmas' invasion of D60 so that he could carry out his sinister plan while the other Cosmo Beast Fighters were distracted. Enraged at this betrayal, Regulos prepared to attack his former friend, but an Absolute Destruction attack from an arriving Absolute Tartarus incapacitated him.
Defeated, Regulos was seized and imprisoned in the Kingdom to be studied by the absolutians, where he vowed to survive...
Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy[]
Regulos would continue to remain a prisoner of the absolutians until he was joined by another ultra who they had taken as their prisoner: Yullian, who found Regulos shackled in energy chains.
Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Destined Crossroad[]
During their time together, Yullian recognized Regulos from an unknown time before, and she tried to help the captive ultra by sharing some of her light energy with him to help keep him alive. During the ultras' raid on the Kingdom to rescue Yullian, Astra managed to find the prisoners, but was ambushed by Diavolo, who was anticipating the ultras' attack. The absolutian was about to attack Yullian as well, but thanks to Yullian's shared energy, Regulos was revitalized and he faced his former friend in battle while Astra used the Kingdom's Core's energy to prepare their escape. Regulos managed to hold off Diavolo long enough to assist Astra and Yullian to join the other ultras in escaping the Kingdom, but they were confronted by the absolutians, who had following them to the ultras' rendezvous point: Planet Blizzard.
Joined by the entire Space Garrison, Regulos resumed his battle with Absolute Diavolo on Planet Blizzard. Although Diavolo wielded the power of the strongest Cosmo Beast, it was no match for Regulos and the combined might of the other Cosmo Beasts that recognized Regulos and their rightful Grandmaster. With the ultra also being assisted by Leo and Astra, Diavolo was no match for the trio, and the absolutian's body was destroyed by their Cosmo Beast Monarch Strike attack, lowering his lives count to four. Master's Alude's death had been avenged.
Sometime after the battle on Planet Blizzard, it was revealed that Regulos was a parallel isotope, as he was taken from the past from his universe when he was captured by the absolutians.
Ultraman Regulos: First Mission[]
With nowhere left to go after being displaced in time, Regulos opted to join the Galaxy Rescue Force, hoping to pass down his knowledge of the Cosmo Beast style onto future generations. His request was quickly put to the test when it was learned that Sora had sent out an SOS on Planet Maijii. Witnessing Alien Reiblood's rebirth into Reibatos's body, Regulos attacked the revived life-form, and was quickly confronted by his revived monsters: Gandar, Gyeron, Black King, and a monster-sized Dallie. Regulos fought valiantly, but the combined might of the four monsters quickly began to wear him down. Fortunately, the Space Garrison learned of the alien's return, and backup was sent in the form of Ultraman Great, Ultraman Powered, and the Ultra Force trio: Scott, Chuck, and Beth. With the ultras holding off the monsters, Regulos again tried to rescue Sora, but was then confronted by a new opponent: Ultraman Shadow. Having been re-created by Alien Zarab from Lady Benzen's data, the robot ultra did battle with Regulos instead, with the two of them appearing to be evenly-matched.
When Ultraman Ribut arrived on the scene, Regulos gained a second wind, and bombarded Ultraman Shadow with a barrage of his Cosmo Beast attacks until the robot was eventually destroyed by his Flash Burst Bullet attack. With only Reibatos as his only challenger left, Regulos and the possessed life-form fought fiercely. Like with Shadow, Regulos was able to fend off Reibatos with his Cosmo Beast attacks until the life-form was destroyed by a combination of the specium rays of Regulos and the other ultras in attendance. Reibatos's body was destroyed once more, but Alien Reiblood's eternal soul still lived on and fled the scene. Impressed by his heroics, the Galaxy Rescue Force granted Regulos's wish to join their team, with the newly-returned Ribut greeting him warmly.
