The Ultraman Suits (ウルトラマンスーツ, Urutoraman Sūtsu) are armored suits worn by certain individuals to become "Ultraman" in the manga ULTRAMAN. They were developed by SSSP, though few have been created independently by other individuals.

The Prototype Suit (プロトタイプスーツ, Purototaipu Sūtsu), or Protosuit (プロトスーツ, Purotosūtsu), was the Ultraman Suit worn by Shin Hayata. For the sake of convenience, it's called a prototype, but it's in actuality a modified prototype suit that's ready to be used in actual combat. When Hayata wore it against Ace Killer, additional modifications and a prototype mask were added. As with Shinjiro's suit, its power source—the Spacium Core—has been replaced with a newer version.[2]

An Ultraman-type exo-armor suit built specifically for Shinjiro Hayata. Created by the Technological Development Team (led by Mitsuhiro Ide) for Shinjiro, who possesses the Ultraman Factor and physical abilities far beyond ordinary humans. Each arm is equipped with a weapon that uses Spacium as an energy source. Exo-armor for normal humans is currently in development. The mask can be donned and removed conventionally, but there is a simplified method where parts of the mask slide backwards. The shutter of the mouth section can be opened for clearer direct verbal communication.[5]
A new Ultraman Suit was built specifically for Shinjiro. This suit is called Type B to differentiate it from its predecessor (the previous suit is now referred to as Type A). As Shinjiro's physical abilities improved due to the Ultraman Factor, the previous suit's mobility and features began to hinder him. Realizing the suit-which was intended to assist and amplify Shinjiro's abilities and defenses-was now restricting him, Ide began development of a new, improved suit. Upgrades were made to three areas: the weight, servos and ancillary equipment. Taking notice of the Ace suit's far-superior functionality in these three areas, Ide worked with Yapool to develop the new suit on an aggressive schedule. The auxiliary motor now uses the nano motor designed for the Ace suit. Ide is currently developing a way for the suit to be wearable during teleportation, like the Ace and Jack suits. Coloring changes were made to suit Ide's taste.[6]
After the corpse that Bemular (Ultraman) had possessed was destroyed by Lord Temperor, Bemular in the form of the Beta Capsule donned the Earth-made Ultraman Suit B-Type and once again assumed the name "Ultraman".

- Spacium Blades (スペシウムブレード, Supeshiumu Burēdo): Energy blades attached to the suit's lower arms.
- Spacium Slash (スペシウムスラッシュ, Supeshiumu Surasshu): In addition to a Cloaking device (providing invisibility) and image- simulation abilities, the Type B suit is equipped with a new Spacium weapon in both palms (the Cloaking feature had previously been implemented on the Seven suit). The generators in the palm create Spacium energy rings that can be used to fire projectiles. After some initial debate over what to call the new weapon (including some rather unsettling and inappropriate suggestions), Ide decided to simply refer to it as the Spacium Slash. Design is currently underway for exterior weapons that conserve energy while the Spacium weapons are in use. They are being developed specifically for Shinjiro.
- Spacium Beam (スペシウム光線, Supeshiumu Kōsen): The Spacium Blades are turned off and when the arms are brought into position, a large beam of Spacium Energy is released.
- Color Timer: A mechanical core present at the center of the chest which limits the Spacium Energy to half of the total potential. Its color indicates the amount of Spacium Energy in use.
- Limiter Release (リミッター解除, Rimittā Kaijo): When activated, the Color Timer turns red and Shinjiro is able to use his complete Spacium Energy for three minutes, after which he is left exhausted.

Ultraman-type exo-armor for Dan Moroboshi. The suit was designed for ordinary people and thus is equipped with numerous experimental features to cover a wide range of potential situations. However, many issues exist, such as the toll it takes on its wearer. According to Ide, although it's been sent into active service, it is far from finished.
After its first use in the field, improvements were made based on gathered data and Moroboshi's feedback. The upper arm and femoral armor were replaced with a lighter and more mobile armor. Because of its version number, within the SSSP it is simply called the Seven Suit.[8]
Along with additional equipment added to the Seven Suit worn by Dan Moroboshi, adjustments were made to the control system and the suit itself. Even though there are no changes to its appearance, it is referred to this as version 7.3 for the sake of convenience.[9]
- Abilities & Equipment
- Spacium Sword (スぺシウムソード, Supeshiumu Sōdo): Bladed weapon used by Moroboshi. Can be used as a conventional sword, but running Spacium energy through the blade increases its sharpness to the point where it produces a shock wave when used.
- Wide Shot (ワイドショット, Waido Shotto): A heavy Spacium weapon developed for Moroboshi, who does not have the Ultraman Factor. Although it is not the same as the Spacium Beam that Shinjiro uses, its power is nearly identical. It can be used as a beam blade by continuously discharging Spacium Energy, but power consumption in this mode is exceptionally high. Due to its large size, an operational system is currently under development, including a method to make it easier to transport.
- EX-Rifle (EXライフル, EX Raifuru): A multipurpose rifle mounted on the back when the suit is fully armed. It is basically the same rifle issued to the agents in Moroboshi's unit, but the Seven Suit version can fire larger-caliber rounds. An experimental Emerium Round tipped with crystallized extraterrestrial energy was used during the Golden Fortress battle.

Seiji Hokuto's exo-armor, built by the genius alien engineer Yapool. Hokuto calls it his "Ace Suit." He chose a word beginning with the letter "A" to indicate that it is of "Alien" manufacture. The rest is his own self-aggrandizing flair. The thrusters—stored around the shoulder blades and deployed by opening and closing the covers—are designed for sudden leaps and high-speed movement. They are not meant for flight.
Including prosthetic arms and legs designed with built-in laser weapons for combat, the suit itself is loaded with multiple features to protect and support Hokuto. However, Hokuto himself has not yet discovered all the features (which Yapool included because of his parental affection for the boy).
Sliding the suit's wrist along the hand protector activates laser weapons embedded in the prosthetic arms. Both arms have this equipment, but one of them is designed to receive the emitted laser. The principle is the same as Shinjiro's Spacium Blade, but its combat use is very different due to its large size.[11]

The combat exoskeleton worn by Jack, an agent for a classified division of the U.S. National Security Agency that specializes in hostile extraterrestrials. Named the Jack Suit based on the nickname given to it in the City. Two other suits exist, with simplified heads and chests. They were used in the Battle of New York alongside Jack (worn by agents from the same division). The Jack Suit was created by Yapool, the renowned engineer who created the Ace Suit. The Americans requested features to help preserve the wearer's life and to create an imposing appearance, which resulted in a rugged, heavy-duty exterior that is quite different from the Ace Suit. However, the rugged exterior is not just for show. Its bulk covers many features (an invisible field that can be deployed at will, forearm weaponry, etc.).
The Jack Suit's mask can separate and be completely housed in the back armor. A receiver arm extends out of the back armor, requiring the wearer to face forward when the mask is being donned or removed. The Jack Suit's forearm is currently equipped with a collapsible sword and a railgun. Basic features of the suit had been completed in time for the Battle of New York, but its weaponry had not. It was designed to be equipped with energy weapons. Nevertheless, producing three exoskeleton suits (including the simplified versions) in such a short period of time was quite an accomplishment—Yapool's engineering skills should be lauded. In addition to a forearm energy weapon, a teleportation device (to allow for immediate emergency response) is currently under development.[14]

Combat Support Suit developed by Yapool for Kotaro Higashi (a.k.a. Taro). It is considered a Combat Support Suit for expediency's sake. Unlike Hokuto's Ace Suit, it is not equipped with many combat enhancement functions or protective features for the wearer. It was made to minimize damage to Taro's surroundings and those he comes in contact with. When Taro unleashes his power, he is wreathed in flames (the energy released from him burns). That could cause serious damage when he is engaged in rescues or combat. In the past, he's caused fires during operations, but luckily they didn't do any serious damage. The design concept of Taro's suit, in other words, is the complete opposite of the Ace Suit. It is designed to manage Taro's power, which indicates how immense it is. It is still unknown why other aliens and humans who were exposed to the same drugs used by the Pedan aliens do not show the same changes.
The suit and mask are constructed using special extraterrestrial fiber that is fire-resistant, and they are equipped with a forced cooling feature and large cooling ducts on the head and back to release surplus energy (power that the suit alone cannot regulate) as flames. Although the suit can convert Taro's flames to be used for attacks, flight and propulsion, its true function is to regulate his power—otherwise he would burn down everything in his path when he flies or attacks.[17]

Daigo (ダイゴ), from another world, crystallized a suit of "light" in imitation of the Ultraman Suits of this world. In addition to manipulating the unknown Zeperion Element (ゼペリオン元素, Zeperion Genso) to unleash powerful attacks, it also demonstrated advanced technology, such as copying the thrusters of Ultraman at a glance and transforming itself into Sky Type. The name "Tiga Suit" is derived from the acronym "Tricolor Individual Guardian Armor," an identification code given by the SSSP.[19]

The jet-black Ultraman worn by a mysterious man plotting the resurrection of the evil god has been transformed by the energy of the dark pyramid. It is said to be the crystallization of the darkness of the other world. The vibration wave "Evil Resonance" released from the weapon "Evil Fork" attacks the opponent's brain directly.[21]

A prototype of the Seven Suit developed for Morohoshi by the Japanese branch of the SSSP. The excessive functions of the device made it unpopular with Morohoshi and it was sealed in a warehouse of the SSSP as Lost Number Ver. 0, but it moved on its own and transferred itself to Jiro Satsuma in Shanghai. He was forced to wear it in a way that saved his life, and since then Satsuma has been the wearer. It is equipped with a tutorial AI Chukichi (チュー吉, Chūkichi) to support Satsuma in battle, but sometimes utters meaningful words. When entering the space-time interface, it changed to red SC specifications with a special coating, and when possessed by Maya, an electronic life form, it changed to blue LM mode.[22]

Darklops Zero Suit
When the Zero Suit transferred itself from the SSSP base in Tokyo to Shanghai, the transfer equipment caught fire due to overload, and another Zero Suit was left behind in the form of a blackened, charred mess (Hokuto likened it to a "copy and paste" of the Suit). It was codenamed LOPS, meaning Loss Of Power Supply. It was remotely controlled by the electronic life form Magellan Maya, who was ordered by the Muxibara aliens, and stood in the way of Satsuma and Moroboshi.[23]

An Ultraman Suit for multiple adaptors called Dunamists, which is said to transform from a silver basic form called "Anphans" to a form called "Junis" with a coloring corresponding to each Dunamist. Junis Blue shoots an arrow of light, "Arrow Ray Strom," from the bow-shaped armor "Arrow Armed Nexus" on its right arm.[24]

Dark Zagi Suit
The "Ultimate Dark Armor" (究極の闇の鎧, Kyūkyoku no Yami no Yoroi), Dark Zagi Suit, is an Ultraman Suit created by the accumulated fear in Lethe put into the Evil Tiga Suit. It is featured in ULTRAMAN SUIT ANOTHER UNIVERSE’s 8U Arc. Its user is Darkgone.[25][26]

Ken Suit
An Ultraman Suit that features a red cape. Its head is equipped with huge horns called Ultra Horns (ウルトラホーン, Urutora Hōn).[27]

King Suit
An Ultraman Suit characterized by its divine appearance. The great protectors on their shoulders and the cloak they wear on their backs are also said to exert mystical power. The golden hammer in its hand releases a powerful shockwave. It seems to have a variety of other abilities, but there are many mysteries and details are unknown.[28]

The 80 Suit is worn by wearers who are both nimble in their carriage and intelligent in their thinking. Its works in unison with the Yullian Suit[29]

Yullian Suit
The Yullian Suit is an Ultraman Suit for women. Presumed to have been custom made by an amateur. Compared to other suits, her feminine and elegant mask and suit that reflects her body line are lighter than other suits, and is mainly used for logistical support, without weapons that can directly kill or injure. The circular shockwave generator in the right palm releases a shockwave that compresses the surrounding space and renders the opponent temporarily incapacitated.[30]

Neos Suit
An Ultraman suit with superior speed and an ultra-metamorphose function that converts light energy. In addition to the Neo Magnium Beam, a beam of light that he shoots with both hands crossed, he also excels at quick attacks such as the Ultra Light-Lunger, a shuriken of light that is generated from a slit near his right wrist.[31]

Zearth Suit
Because it is lightly equipped, this Ultraman Suit is armed with a huge brusher lance to compensate for its combat power. He fights on the back of MIRACLON, a support unit with artificial intelligence. It is worn by a young person who likes cleanliness.[32]

Dyna Suit
The Ultraman Suit Dyna can operate in three types, "Flash," "Strong," and "Miracle," by detaching and refitting the armor. Flash Type is the basic form that is well-balanced in both offense and defense, characterized by blue and red body colors. Strong Type is heavily armored with additional heavy protector parts attached to the arms, legs, and chest of the Flash type to supplement the operation of the ultra high-power "Garnate Bomber" cannon. Miracle Type is a top-secret specification for ultra high-speed combat that appears by purging the Flash Type armor parts.[33]

Gaia Suit
An Ultraman Suit with massive proportions. This "Supreme Version" is said to be the third version-up form following V1 and V2. It excels in hand-to-hand combat, taking advantage of its heavy armor for defense and power. By jumping up and striking the ground with its raised fist, it generates a shockwave that splits the ground, crashing and exploding into the enemy in a straight line along with the bedrock.[34]

Agul Suit
The Agul Suit exists in the same world as the Gaia Suit, with slim proportions and a blue body color. Similar to Gaia, the Suit is being upgraded, and the current suit is called V2 (Version 2).[35]

- Agul Saber (アグルセイバー, Aguru Seibā): The sword equipped on the right hand side boasts a sharp cutting edge due to the light surrounding the sword. It can also be transformed into a whip-like weapon like a chain wire by dividing it into sections. It also entangles and attracts enemies at a distance.
Nice Suit
An Ultraman Suit that moves slowly but has strong attack and rushing power. The arms are crossed in an X-shape and the connections at the left and right wrists are connected to release the "Very Nice Beam" from the firing light on the side of the forearms. He also has a habit of tilting his head when doing so. The wearer is a father of a family with a wife and children, a nice guy who fights for his family, but his cheerful personality often makes the place more relaxed.[36]

Max Suit
A large, heavily armored, motion-enhanced Ultraman Suit. The Max Galaxy is worn on the right hand functions normally as a shield, but can also be used as a light sword. The Eye Slugger-shaped long sword "Maxium Sword" can release the "Maxium Cannon" beam technique.[37]

Mebius Suit
An Ultraman Suit that looks as if it were made with technology created by the SSSP of the future. The left arm is equipped with the Mebius Brace that can fire light bullets. The flight support backpack "Gun Winger" on the back is equipped with the METEOR system, which applies alien super-science technology, and when the METEOR is released, inertial control wings "Inertial Wings" deploy in addition to the normal wings. In this state, it is possible to fire "Spacium warhead bullets" and perform "phantom aviation," a super high-speed alter-ego flight. The rush of METEOR's power spreads as a shockwave around it and risks damaging those who are not wearing the suit.[38]

Hikari Suit
An Ultraman Suit that takes a combat style that makes use of intelligence. Although its low defense is a weak point, this can be resolved by attaching a backup armor called Arb Gear. The light sword "Knight Blade" generated from the Knight Brace on his right arm can be used not only for melee attacks, but also to fire a light bullet "Blade Shot" from its tip.[39]

A mysterious and dark Ultraman Suit. It uses the sharp claws of both hands to slice through opponents. It seems to have other abilities as well, but... ...it's unclear. In the UAU story, the existence of an emperor of destruction and tyranny who plans to rule the entire universe with the soul of a warrior inhabiting the Zero Suit is hinted at, but the relationship with this suit is a mystery at present. In addition to attacking with sharp claws and Deathcium Beam from both hands, it also fights with the "Giga Battlenizer," a weapon that can fire light bullets from its tip.[40]

- In the anime, the Ultraman Suit, Seven Suit, and Ace Suit feature more red from the beginning to more closely match the coloration of the Ultras they were designed upon.
- The suits in the manga have more silver color but would later be updated with colors that are identical to the anime versions.
- In the manga, the Ultraman Suits are equipped manually at the SSSP, while in the anime, bracelets are used to transfer and automatically equipped the suits remotely. This feature was later integrated into the manga in Chapter 97.[41]
