Ultra Galaxy Fight: The Absolute Conspiracy[]
Ultraman Taro returned home from his time on earth, where he reunited with his old friend, Ultraman Tregear, who had been developing a device that would later become the Taiga Spark. One day after learning that his superior, Ultraman Hikari, had gone missing, Tregear found him on Planet Arb, where he witnessed his master's transformation into the vengeful Hunter Knight Tsurugi, who quickly defeated Tregear in battle. After experiencing the power of darkness from his master's corruption, as well as his own doubt in his own strength, Tregear grew more and more distant with his affiliation to the light, despite Taro's efforts to assure him that he is still valuable to the Land of Light.
Detecting an unusual energy, Taro brings Tregear along with him to Planet Deastar to investigate it but they are ambushed by Night Fang. Tregear is hit with its Nightmare Wave and shown his nightmares. Absolute Tartarus appears before Tregear to show him his future and offers him the power to live as he desired. Remembering the meaning of his name, Tregear accepts Tartarus's offer and enters the golden portal.

Etymology[]
Tregear's name comes from the combination of the Greek words for Mad (τρέλα Trelós) and Curiosity (περιέργεια Periérgeia).[1]

- Tregear's name in the language of the Land of Light means "Mad Curiosity". [1]
- Ultraman Tregear is the spiritual successor of Ultraman Belial, owing to the fact that both are fallen Ultras from the Land of Light and were estranged from Father of Ultra and Taro as well as empowered by immensely powerful entities (Alien Reiblood for Belial and Grimdo for Tregear).
- Tregear Early Style's head sculpt is very similar to Ultraman Orb's.
- Unlike Belial's Early Style, Tregear's gloves and boots do not have cuffs to emulate the Showa Era suits.
