History[]

Ultraman Ace[]

Verokron was the first Terrible-Monster to be unleashed onto the world by the invading Yapool, with the beast's first site of attack being Fukuyama City, Hiroshima. The bioweapon's rampage took out a large portion of the city, with some of its notable targets being a bakery, a hospital, an orphanage, and several refineries. Verokron was soon confronted by opposition, in the form of the Earth Defense Force. However, their weapons weren't enough to stop the beast, who only responded by taking down all of their jets with a combination of his flames and missiles. During its attack on the orphanage, Verokron's rampage also claimed the lives of two people on site: Seiji Hokuto and Yuko Minami. Unknown to the beast and Yapool though, these two people would wind up becoming the hosts of the fifth and newest member of the space garrison: Ultraman Ace. Having had its fun destroying what it wanted, Verokron returned to Yapool's dimension, its tasked fulfilled.

A few days later, the Yapool unleashed Verokron once more, this time in the heart of Tokyo. The Terrible-Monster took out Tokyo Tower moments before the newly-established team of TAC arrived on the scene to deal with the monstrosity themselves. Despite having more powerful weapons on hand though, there was little that the team could do besides annoy Verokron. During their fight, Hokuto managed to stun Verokron by firing into the beast's mouth as it was firing its missiles, causing it to malfunction and freeze-up. However, this only enraged Verokron even further, who recovered and became more destructive than before, attacking a school in his rampage. Finally just as it seemed that TAC was doomed, Hokuto and Minami's new Ultra Rings began to glow, the sign that it was time to transform. Reuniting on the field of battle, Hokuto and Minami transformed into Ultraman Ace for the first time ever and faced the Terrible-Monster himself. Ace managed to put up a good fight at first by physically overpowering Verokron, but the battle became more intense when Verokron began bombarding the ultra with a plethora of his attacks. Despite this, Ace would not give up. After stunning the beast by striking it in its mouth once again, Ace finished it off with his Metallium Ray, killing Verokron in one hit.[1][Shine! The Five Ultra Brothers]

Verokron II[]

Verokron II

Verokron II

A second Verokron was created sometime later, where it warned Hokuto in a nightmare that it would carry out the vengeance of Yapool and of its first iteration. With the help of a female Yapool agent named "Q", Verokron II first appeared as a hallucination brought on by a capsule implanted in Hokuto's mouth (Q had disguised herself as a dentist to operate on a toothache Hokuto was suffering at the time). Falling for the trap, Hokuto attempted to fight back against the Terrible-Monster, but only wound up causing a scare since only he could see it and no one else could. Believing that Hokuto was delirious, he was apprehended by the police and suspended by TAC for the trouble he had caused. With Hokuto out of the way, Verokron II made its physical appearance in the same city as Hokuto saw him in and immediately went on its rampage.

TAC soon realized that they and Hokuto were tricked by Yapool and immediately set off to stop the Terrible-Monster themselves. Hokuto later saw the beast during its rampage and believing that he was still a hallucination, foolishly goaded Verokron II into attacking him instead. The beast obliged and nearly would've killed Hokuto had TAC not arrived in their jets to stop it. Despite utilizing Verokron's weakness of firing at its mouth, the beast countered by downing their jets with its horn lightning (an ability that its first counterpart did not exhibit). With TAC sidelined, the beast turned its attention back to Hokuto and attempted to finish him off, but luckily he was able to transform into Ultraman Ace just in time. Ace and Verokron II fought fiercely, but despite the beast exhibiting more powers that its first counterpart didn't, Ace was able to power through them. Finally during the struggle, Ace managed to tear off the Terrible-Monster's horns and stabbed it in its ribs with them, killing Verokron II and thwarting the Terrible-Monster's revenge.[Revenge of Verokron]

Ultraman Taro[]

Verokron reappeared in the series, Ultraman Taro, as "Re-Verokron II" (改造ベロクロン二世, Kaizō Berokuron Nisei).

As Re-Bemstar was debilitated after being blinded in one eye by Umino and weakened by ZAT firing an Energy Bomb into his gorge, Yapool feared that his modified space monster would lose. As a result, he sent out two Terrible-Monsters to assist it: Re-Sabotender and Re-Verokron II. As Ultraman Taro faced off against Re-Sabotender, Re-Verokron II was sent to stop the ultra from helping, only to be confronted by ZAT's firepower instead. Re-Verokron II was no match for ZAT, who bombarded the Terrible-Monster with their weapons until the monster dropped dead before it could have a chance to fight back.[Revenge of the Monster Army!]

Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle[]

Verokron reappeared in the series, Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle.[2]

Verokron was one of the many monsters that inhabited Planet Boris. Verokron was also one of the first two monsters to appear on Vincent Island, (A safe haven on Boris which Ultraman had been telepathically protecting since Bullton began summoning monsters to attack all over the planet). Luckily the ZAP SPACY were also on Vincent Island, and Rei went off to confront the Terrible-Monster by summoning his Gomora to do battle. At first, Verokron had the advantage over Gomora due to the Terrible-Monster's size and strength outweighing the monster's own, but Gomora received assistance from the ZAP SPACY, evening the fight for the monster. The fight however became serious when Doragory appeared on the scene and attacked Gomora. The two Terrible-Monsters then proceeded to double-team Gomora until Rei summoned Eleking to assist the monster by battling Doragory while Gomora was left to resume fighting Verokron. Despite the odds being evened though, the Terrible-Monsters' strength still outclassed the two monsters individually. However with the continual assistance of the ZAP SPACY helping Rei, Verokron was soon weakened by them firing a laser into his mouth, allowing Gomora to regain the advantage again and beat down the Terrible-Monster until he stabbed Verokron with his horn, charging his innards with his Super Oscillatory Ray from the inside, destroying Verokron.[Ultraman]

Ultraman Saga/Retsuden[]

Verokron reappeared in the film, Ultraman Saga.

Verokron was one of the many monsters revived by Hyper Zetton with the use of Spheres (along with Antlar, King Pandon, Black King, and Tyrant) to assist him in battling against the newly-formed Ultraman Saga. Fortunately the fusion ultra received some backup as well in the form of the Ultra Brothers (whom were earlier notified of the disturbance in Dyna's universe,) and they battled against Hyper Zetton's monsters while Saga resumed his battle with Hyper Zetton. Ultraman Ace fought with Verokron for a short period of time and eventually, Verokron was killed after being struck by Ultraman Ace's Metallium Ray.

Ultraman Ginga S[]

Verokron was one of the many spark dolls that was in the possession of Exceller and his followers.[3] Bolst the Alien Guts duplicated himself and MonsLived into the Terrible-Monster (while his copy MonsLived into Doragory) in order to eliminate Ultraman Ginga and Ultraman Victory, intent on fixing his previous failed attempts to kill the ultras. As the Terrible-Monsters attacked Shizukugaoka, they were immediately confronted by Ultraman Victory, who fought against the duo by himself. Victory tried his best, but with his opponents being naturally stronger Terrible-Monsters, and with Hikaru unable to transform into Ultraman Ginga due to Gouki refusing to let him go off on his own, the ultra was quickly overwhelmed by the Terrible-Monsters. Finally after Doragory poisoned Victory by biting into his arm, Bolst felt that he was victorious, mocking the ultra by leaving him to die a slow and painful, and allowing Verokron and Doragory to leave.

Later, Bolst returned and MonsLived into the Terrible-Monsters once more, this time to deal with Ginga after Exceller chastised him for not finishing the job. With Victory being healed by Shepardon, Verokron and Doragory were confronted by Ultraman Ginga instead, who immediately turned into Ginga Storium to try and gain the upper-hand in strength. Despite the power-up (and some assistance from UPG), Ginga was just as helpless on his own as Victory was against the Terrible-Monsters, and he too was overwhelmed by their combined might. Knowing that Hikaru/Ginga needed his help, Sho left the Underground as he was still being healed, and transformed into Ultraman Victory to fight Doragory and Verokron. However with Victory still being weakened, there was nothing he could do, and Verokron left Doragory to deal with Ginga while he dealt with Victory himself.

Suddenly, Shepardon came to the surface to protect Victory, despite still being severely weakened after Exceller's forces previous ambush on him. Shepardon shielded Victory from Verokron's missiles and was at the mercy of the Terrible-Monster bludgeoning him until he repelled Verokron with a desparate blast from his Victorium crystal. Frustrated, Bolst split Verokron in two and fired on Shepardon with his missile barrage. The attack destroyed Shepardon's body, but his remains were transformed into a crystal spark doll. One that Victory would use its power to create one of the ultra's many Ultlances, known as the "Shepardon Saber". Finally once Ginga managed to find a brief opening with the Terrible-Monsters distracted, he struck Verokron and Doragory simultaneously with his Ginga Spark Lance, paralyzing them both and allowing Victory to destroy them with his Shepardon Saber Flash attack.[Holy Sword of the Future]

Ultra Fight Victory[]

Verokron reappeared in the segment series, Ultra Fight Victory.[4]

Verokron (along with fellow Terrible-Monsters, Doragory and Vakishim) appeared on Planet Gua, sent by Yapool to fend off the Leo Brothers, Leo and Astra from stopping the distortion that was created by Yapool to revive the fallen "Space Emperor." While Leo and Astra were able to survive the Terrible-Monsters' onslaught, Verokron and the others' distraction was a success as Yapool managed to send the Victorium Core into the distortion to power up the Emperor's arrival. Luckily, Ultraman Ace, Ginga, and Victory arrived on the scene (after they had battled against Victory-Killer and Lunatyx on Golgotha) to assist the Leo Brothers in destroying the Terrible-Monsters, only for Yapool to enter the fight and assist his Terrible-Monsters in holding off the Ultra Brothers from interfering with the Emperor's revival. Unfortunately for Yapool, the battle was still 5-on-4, and the Ultra Brothers ultimately won the fight, with Verokron being destroyed by Ultraman Ace's Ultra Guillotine.
