Zabil (ザビル, Zabiru) is an Ultra-Ancient researcher from thirty million years ago who studied how humans can become light. He was once a scientist of the Terran Protection Team along with Yuzare, and later founded the Lyerah as its leader. As Ryuichi Tokioka (トキオカ リュウイチ, Tokioka Ryuuichi), he became the deputy captain of GUTS-Select two years after Ultraman Trigger's final battle.[1][2]

Zabil was an Ultra-Ancient who was a scientist in Yuzare's Terra Protection Team. He arrived too late when Yuzare sacrificed herself to give Trigger the power of the Eternity Core. Zabil witnessed how effortlessly Trigger sealed the Giants of Darkness and felt as if his comrades had died in vain. At that moment he realized he should become the light himself. Zabil left the message of the Giants of Darkness' return in the stone tablet that Mitsukuni Shizuma and Akito Hijiri studied.

Tokioka presents Chairman Shizuma with the Ancient Sparklence
He waited for eons and eventually crossed paths with Chairman Shizuma, under the identity of Ryuichi Tokioka, gaining his trust with the "discovery" of the Ancient Sparklence, orchestrating events in anticipation to steal the light. The scientist and Ultra-Ancient Civilization expert Tokioka replaced Captain Tatsumi, when he was transferred to Intelligence, and took command of the expert team GUTS-Select as its new captain two years after Ultraman Trigger's final battle.
Zabil transforms into Evil Trigger
Tokioka faked his death with the help of Celebro and revealed his true identity as Zabil to Kengo, Yuna, Akito, and Ignis. He used GUTS-Select to gather Trigger's Hyper Keys and performed the light gathering ritual once more to become Evil Trigger with Ultraman Trigger's light.
Zabil's death
Evil Trigger was destroyed, reverting Zabil back into a human in front of GUTS-Select and their allies. At the sight of GUTS-Select, Zabil remembered his friendship with Yuzare and his comrades in Terra Protection Team in the past, before ceasing to exist as the gate to the Eternity Core disintegrated.

- GUTS Hyper Keys (ガッツハイパーキー, Gattsu Haipā Kī): Items that replicate the power of monsters.
- GUTS Buckle (ガッツバックル, Gattsu Bakkuru): Utility belts for storing the GUTS Sparklence and Hyper Keys.
- GUTS Hyper Launcher (ガッツハイパーランチャー, Gattsu Haipā Ranchā): Hyper Launcher for anti-monster attacks that shoots high-powered beams of light from a central unit. Used by Captain Tokioka. Three GUTS Hyper Keys can be loaded.
- GUTS Triple Hyper (GUTSトリプルハイパー, Gattsu Toripuru Haipā): A new type of gun developed by Akito. Three GUTS Hyper Keys can be loaded, and it can also be used for triple-shot amplified fire and switching between single and continuous fire.

- Ryuichi Tokioka's occupation as a scientist and desire to gain the power of the giants is a callback to Keigo Masaki.
- He is also similar to Nook, an Ultra-Ancient human who had survived into the modern age.
